Apple Mail...putting another rule ahead of spamsieve

I have some emails come in that I know I want to automatically delete. SpamSieve is great in picking them up as spam and putting them in the spam folder but then I have to manually delete them.

If I set up a rule to delete the emails from this particular addressee, is there any harm in putting this rule ahead of SpamSieve?

TIA

No, in fact you should put it above the SpamSieve rule because there is no sense in having SpamSieve process messages that you would not be able to correct (because they were deleted) if it made a mistake. And there is no reason to have it learn from messages that you will not be using it to filter.

Many thanks for the quick reply, Michael.
