I’d like to reopen this old topic.
My brother and I launched a new company.
He is used to Mac and I to Windows 
Since we’re using dropbox, we’re hitting the same problem as described about characters that cause sync issues.
I had a look into the script and have some questions:
- is it possible it doesn’t include the character . (period) which is also mentioned on Naming Dropbox files and folders | Dropbox Help
- what about the forbiden chararcters in folder names?
- does it work in subfolders as well?
