Yosemite Mail lost sort by Color - is there a work around?

OS X 10.10.1
Mail 8.1 (1993)

In OS X 10.6.8, I was able to sort my Spam folder by color. I right clicked a column header and selected Sort by -> Color.

This was a great time saver for me, but Mail appears to have lost this feature in Yosemite

Is there a known workaround?

Apple removed that feature in 10.7, but there are several ways to work around this.
