Installed just now. Opened Eagle Filer and was met with a popup that “in order for this app to run under Golden Gate you must install Rosetta”. Installed and restarted machine.
Attempted to drag an email from Apple Mail to a folder already created–beach ball and force close.
In other words? Can no longer drag ANY email from Apple Mail to Eagle Filer folders.
It looks like there’s a bug in Golden Gate where it hangs (the system pasteboard server never responds) when EagleFiler tries to read a URL from the drag.
You can work around this using the capture key or by dragging and dropping the message to Finder, and then from there to EagleFiler. (Finder is only interested in files, not other drag information, so it bypasses this bug.)
I’ll see if I can find a way to work around this in EagleFiler itself.
Michael:
This is by no means a showstopper—just wanted to keep you informed of issues right out of the gate. Using fn-F1 is fine for me—the drag to Finder is ok too.
One of these days I am going to learn NEVER to install a new OS until at least 3-5 updates are done.
Michael:
Not completely. There is another issue of fnF1 emails crashing the entire program. Can not open, read or move any of the imported rmails without crashing the entire program.
