I’ve installed the 2.9.12 Spamsieve on Maverick and set up the script, which on one machine seems to working fine (although often slow on the first use) but on another the Applemail plugin steadfastly doesn’t set up the rule. I can do it manually but should I.

Which script are you referring to? There is none mentioned in the normal Setting Up Apple Mail instructions. You are supposed to set up the rule yourself, as described in Step 3.

My apologies, as a long term mac user (and SpamSieve user) I never read anything! I could have sworn in the past something did it automatically. Thanks anyway.
