Apple Mail's junk database

I bought Spamsieve a long time ago and used it for awhile but while using Postbox I stopped using SS. I did upgrade it to 3.1.2 in 2025 because I was trying it out with other mail software like Airmail.

After Postbox got gobbled up we tried to keep using it but ran into too many problems after upgrading to Tahoe, so my partner and I decided on Apple Mail. But Mail seems to keep marking some good mail as junk no matter how many times I mark it Not Junk. If I add SpamSieve to Mail, can it learn from Apple Mail’s “data” about what is junk and what isn’t or do I have to train it from the beginning again?

SpamSieve learns from the messages you train it with, not from the information Mail’s junk filter has extracted. If you still have SpamSieve installed from 2025, the training data should still be there. If not, it’s not big deal because it learns quickly.
