Behavior of records that get categorized under smart folders

Is there currently a way for a file that shows up in a smart folder because of the smart folder’s selection criteria (not because the record was dropped there), to automatically acquire the tags specified in the smart folder’s definition under the Action Tab (with Add Tags being selected and some tags listed)?

No. You would need to drag and drop onto the smart folder in order for its actions to be applied.

I think it would be neat if that behavior existed an a setup option (probably an esoteric setup option).
