If SpamSieve’s preferences file has been damaged or deleted, it might forget that it had been purchased. You can lookup your serial number in your order confirmation e-mail or using this form. Then enter it in SpamSieve’s Purchase window so that it knows you purchased.

It happened again just now. I went in and put the serial number in … why do you think I’m having to repeat this cycle again?
Your preferences file was deleted or damaged. Why, I don’t know. You should probably repair your disk using Disk Utility.
