Can SpamSieve be used with Mimestream (a newly released Gmail-specific email app for macOS)?
Currently, there doesn’t seem to be a way to hook a spam filter into Mimestream. Please let the developer know that you’d like to use it with SpamSieve.
You can, however, run Apple Mail in the background (hidden if you want). As it filters the spam on your Gmail account, this will be reflected in Mimestream, too, and you can train SpamSieve from within Mimestream by moving messages to the TrainSpam and TrainGood mailboxes.
Thank you, Michael. I’ve contacted Mimestream. I’ll also go ahead and experiment with running Apple Mail on my main Mac as a spam filtering drone.
