However in Spamsieve 3 that doesn’t appear to be the right location… I have corpus data as recent as today on one machine and the other is still showing data from 2023 and nothing newer.
Is there a different location if you are running on an M1 mac?
The folder /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/SpamSieve/ has always been the right location. Please post some more information or screenshots about what you’re seeing in the two folders and in the two copies of SpamSieve.
Thanks Michael - after more late night exploring I realized that in the move the corpus status and log stats do not seem to move over… otherwise the training data seemed to be consistent - and that was the cause for my confusion. Everything seems to be working fine, otherwise. Thank you!
Maybe if I know you in screen captures… on my drone machine here’s clips of the status and corpus windows… I’m going to move off the current drone and back my desktop computer while I work on replacing the drone. On new machine after copying the data over and starting SS 3 on the new system… the stats aren’t matching in terms of Good messages, Showing stats since MM DD YY, etc… Clearly I’m not doing something right… but I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong…
OK, it looks like you mean the Statistics window. Yes, it looks like none of the numbers match. So my guess is that the data folder was not actually replaced. You could look at it on both Macs and see if the two folders contain the same filenames with the same sizes and modification dates…
The Showing Statistics Since will only match if you also replace the preferences file.
ok… I thought I did all of that… I think I’ll try to do a complete uninstall with App Cleaner, delete the folders, empty trash, restart and try to reinstall after copying the data again. I’ll let you know what happens…
Ok… after a complete uninstall/flush of SS 3 on my main computer, empty trash, reboot, etc etc… everything is synced up and looking like I would expect… should have thought about doing a proper flush the first time.
Thanks for your time and input on a weekend Michael!!
