Disable automatic switch to hearing aids

Hi

I’m using bluetooth enabled hearing aids from Phonak, connected to my M4 Mac.

Problem: when I’m close to the Mac, it detects the hearing aids, connect the bluetooth and switches the audio to them. Great if I am going to work on the computer, hatefull when I’m just sitting in the couch and the laptop is on the table.

Can toothfairy make it possible that it connects the bluetooth but doesn’t switch the audio?

Do the hearing aids show up on your Mac as a Bluetooth device that can be added to ToothFairy?

yes, they are now in toothfairy

ToothFairy can’t prevent a device from auto-connecting, but it can run a script when it detects that a device connected. If you look at the Change the Sound Input or Output Device section here, it shows how to make a script that sets the audio back to the desired device.
