Does EagleFiler still need Rosetta?

I had to erase my Mac and start over. To open Eaglefiler, I get a message saying I need Rosetta. I don’t remember needing it before, though I had it for something else, so maybe I already had Rosetta when I got EF. My Eaglefiler is from Apple App Store. Does the direct from you version also require Rosetta?
Thank you.

Yes, both versions currently require Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs. macOS will install it automatically if needed.

OK, thanks.

Michael, are you aiming for v.2 to be native to the M-series chips?

Is there some kind of timeline for the launch of this Apple Silicon version of the app? It’s the only thing holding me back from going with EagleFiler in my hunt for a good file management app.

Not ready to announce a date yet, but it’s our main development focus for the remainder of the year.

Hi @Michael_Tsai, may I ask if there is an update regarding v2?

Nothing to announce yet. I’m still working on it, and it’s going smoothly.

Any idea if MacOS Sequoia will still include Rosetta2? If not: is a universal version of Eaglefiler around the corner?

macOS Sequoia does include Rosetta 2.
