Drop Pad only appearing when EagleFiler is active

From some of the earlier posts, I gather that Drop Pad is supposed to appear as a floating window in all apps. But in my Mac, it is only showing in EagleFiler. Any ideas? Is there a way to make DropPad showing in all applications? If so, is there an option to disable that

Yes.

Are you using Stage Manager or multiple Spaces? If so, by default it will only appear when there are EagleFiler windows present. You can click this link to make it visible all the time.

No.

Clicked that link, pressed ok and restarted EagleFiler. Still the same.

I emailed you link to a screencast.

Thanks for the screencast. I’m not necessarily seeing a problem there. Maybe I misunderstood your question. The Drop Pad window should be visible when another app is active, but if it overlaps another app’s window and you bring that window to the front, the Drop Pad will go to the background.

It sounds like you are wanting it to always stay on top of everything? That’s something we could consider for a future version.

For now, one option for an always-available drop target is to drag and drop onto EagleFiler’s Dock icon. That will import into the current library. You can also pause when dropping onto the Dock icon, and keep the mouse button down, then it will let you pick a library window to bring to the front, and then you can finally release the button on top of that window.

Yes (ideally with a setting to toggle this behavior).

Dragging to dock icon should do the job, thanks.
