Here’s a new beta version of DropDMG. The changes are:
- Fixed a bug where converting a disk image would in some cases fail with an incorrect error about the destination folder being invalid.
- Worked around a bug in macOS 15 where sometimes the system help viewer would not open the right help page. DropDMG will instead open help files in the user’s Web browser.
- Tried to work around a macOS bug that could cause it to incorrectly report the DropDMG application file as damaged.
- Made some changes to prevent DropDMG from triggering local network privacy prompts.
- Improved the following sections of the manual:
- When you click an esoteric preferences link to enable or disable debug logging, the change now takes effect immediately, without having to restart DropDMG.
- The diagnostic report now includes information about the app’s logs, the crash logs folder, and components that could cause AppleScript errors.
- Diagnostic report files are much smaller, as they no longer include excerpts from the verbose system console log, only from DropDMG’s own log files.
- Removed various code that is no longer used.
