DropDMG has been updated to version 3.7.1. This is a free update for those who have purchased DropDMG 3.x. Normally, DropDMG will automatically offer to update you to the new version. There are also instructions for updating on this page. DropDMG 3.7.1 is compatible with macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) through macOS Tahoe 26 and is recommended for all customers using those versions of macOS. Older versions are also available for macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and earlier.
The changes in this version are:
- Fixed a bug where the Dock icon didn’t adapt to different themes on macOS Tahoe 26.
- Fixed a regression where creating a disk image with a layout could affect the visibility of the path bar in subsequent non-DropDMG Finder windows.
- Improved the layout of the Software Update… sheet on macOS Tahoe 26.
- Worked around a Help Viewer bug on macOS 14.
- Fixed the icon margins in the legacy ICNS file and documentation.
- Added an Apple events usage description for the
dropdmgcommand-line tool. - Made various updates for Xcode 26.
