I am having an issue where I placed a file in the To Import folder and it was flagged as a duplicate. So I renamed it and moved it back to the To Import folder. It got flagged as a duplicate again. I’ve reindexed my database and tried again. It was flagged duplicate again. I searched for it using anywhere and it is not found. What am I missing? Thanks.
EagleFiler determines whether a file is a duplicate based on its contents, not its name. When it’s flagged as a duplicate, the Errors window has a button that will show you which pre-existing file it’s a duplicate of.
If you want to import a specific file, even if it’s a duplicate, you can use Finder to move it to the Files
folder. Or, if you want to allow all duplicate files to be imported, you could check the Allow duplicate files in library box in the settings.

Thanks, Michael. I thought it was the contents and the file name. Appreciate it.
