EagleFiler 1.9 update without closing library?

I updated EagleFiler to 1.9 (macOS 10.15.7) but forgot to close my library file, which was open at the time.

Any problem in doing this? (I have a backup library file I could use instead of the current one.)

I recommend closing everything before updating, just to make sure that any changes get saved properly in the event that the updater encounters an unexpected error. But it should normally work fine if you skip that and just update.

I hadn’t made any changes to the library after it was opened so I am glad there is nothing to be concerned about.
