EF files on iOS

When viewing EF file using Files.app on my iPad, Files app redirects me to another app to open .rtfd files. I though Files.app would open these on its own, but can someone tell me if anything has changed? I have the most recent version of iPad OS.
In passing consider this another request for an iOS app. Even if it’s ‘read only’ it would help.

On my device, the iPad files app can view the text of RTFD files but not the embedded images and attachments. (It does show images in the preview.)

Thnak you for the reply. I see what’s happening. Textilus - an .rtf app - has now got an AI section which decides it knows what I want to do. With a bit of faffing around it does work but something of an irritation. Delete that and Files.app does as you say.

I still think an iOS EF file viewer would save all this, but sadly I cannot see one materialising… :grinning:

I think it will.

If you install Pages on iOS you can open/view/edit RTFD files. Problem is it creates a new .pages file if you make any changes when it saves. Sigh. :persevere:
