A link in the Eagle Filer manual sent me to Garrison Computer Service (Australia) to obtain a download of Email Archiver. The only version I could find there was a freeware Power PC version. Is Email Archiver X (Germany) an updated version, or a completely different app?

They’re completely different apps. The Garrison one is for organizing the messages within the mail client. The Moth one is for making an archive of the e-mail outside of the mail client (which EagleFiler also does).
