Error moving to spam mailbox: Mail got an error: AppleEvent timed out

I keep getting the following error trying to use train as spam combined with a menubar icon that stays “stuck” in Yellow color mode..

I have tried a couple of searches in the forum but so far not finding anything that really is helping me figure out what’s up (maybe I just being unintentionally obtuse).

P.S. I’ve already tried restarting apple mail and rebooting my mac.. :-/

Please use the Save Diagnostic Report command in the Help menu and send me (not the forum) the report file, as described here.

I knew you’d probably say that so I had it waiting.. just couldn’t remember how to send it to you..

This seems to have been caused by a bug in macOS Tahoe 26, and SpamSieve 3.2.2b1 includes a workaround that you can enable.

FWIW, I’ve also been experiencing this issue since I “upgraded” to MacOS 26.

Changing “Download Attachments” to ‘All’ in Mail Preferences had no effect. But, enabling the workaround fixed the problem.

Good job!! Thank you.
