Filtering too slow

Hi there, my Spamsieve filtering has always been working flawlessly. Lately though it is getting real slow. It used to catch my spam emails before they were notified, but now most times I get notifications of these annoying messages before Spamsieve throws them to the spam folder.
Application version is 3.1 (plugin)
Mac OS Sequoia 15.2

The issue is actually that you are not using the Mail plug-in (which Apple no longer supports on Sequoia). The replacement, Mail extensions, has a bug where, for some users, Mail sometimes never sends new messages to the extension. SpamSieve’s workaround for the bug is to check the inbox for new messages that need to be filtered, but this necessarily happens a second or two after Mail has “finished” processing new messages and posted its notifications.

What you can do instead is adjust the notifications in Mail so that in most or all cases you instead rely on SpamSieve notifying you, which of course it will only do for the good messages.

No Michael. My bad. I AM actually using extension, and not the plugin. I just confused.
So, please, what does cause the issue?

oh, ok, I will rely on SpamSieve notifications only.

One more thing please. After I have set SpamSieve as the only app that sends notifications, and it actually delivers them, can they also be updated? Meaning that the red badge count disappears when I read the good emails somewhere else.

Please see this page for how that works.
