Good messages with brown text on white in Junk

I’m occasionally finding good messages that were originally in the Inbox that later end up in Junk with brown text on white. I use Gmail and have turned off it’s spam filter as described in 7.6.4 “Turning Off the Gmail Spam Filter”. I’ve also disabled Mail’s junk filter by unchecking “Enable junk mail filtering” on the Junk Mail:Junk Mail Behaviors tab.

In the most recent instance, the log for that message shows two entries: Predicted: Good(1) and Trained: Good (Auto), 7 minutes after the message was received.

I’m running SpamSieve 3.2.2 on macOS 15.7.3. I’m also running MailMaven Version 1.0.7 – build 7625, which is enabled to “Evaluate Arriving Messages Using SpamSieve”.

It seems like Gmail’s filter is probably not the problem because if it had moved the messages to Junk they would not have been seen in the Inbox by MailMaven. (Are you also using SpamSieve to filter using Apple Mail?) And the log says SpamSieve thought the messages were good. So that suggests that the problem is either another rule in Mail or MailMaven or perhaps another Mac or device that’s moving the messages. Or perhaps you are manually invoking a rule or script that has the effect of moving the messages out of Inbox after they’ve already been there for a while?
