I am new to Eaglefiler and before I commit my rather large database (collection of files I’ve gathered over the years in Devonthink) I want to try and understand something.
Basically, can I save files directly to an eaglfiler folder or is that bypassing the eaglfiler’s ability to index?
For example, I’m writing a word doc and am done with it and so I hit save to. Can I save directly to a designated Eaglefiler folder or must I go through a second stage?
Same goes for any program where you save something: Turbo Tax - save file, Corel Draw - save drawing etc.

Yes, you can save new files directly into the To Import folder or anywhere in the Files folder hierarchy. Other rules related to this are documented here.
