I have a lot of stuff in Apple Notes that I would like to “archive” in EagleFiler. In order to clean up Notes and put old stuff outside of it. Is there any way to do that without having to move them one by one?
Many of the files have .pdfs or other attachments to it.
For single notes, you can select text in Notes and import it using one of EagleFiler’s Services. This is faster than using the Export as PDF… feature and you will end up with an editable note. Attachments would need to be exported separately either way.
Apple Notes itself does not have a bulk export feature. However, you can use the Request a copy of your data feature of the iCloud Web site. There is also a third-party exporter tool.
There are various exporter apps, also a pretty good Exporter app in the Mac App Store.
After testing them all, IMO the best option is to use the Importer plugin in Obsidian. It will import a perfect copy of your notes in Markdown format, with nested folders, attachments, etc into a vault folder, which you can then add to Eaglefiler.
