The Usenet archive at Google Groups allows lookup by message ID and can show the raw post source, like this.
It’s more or less mbox format, but after downloading I can’t get EF to import it as anything but plain text. Changing the extension or adding a fake From line at the top doesn’t help.
To be considered an mbox, a file needs to begin with “From ” (and have “From ” at the beginning of each message). When I changed the first line of your file to “From ???@???” EagleFiler imported it as a mailbox.
Indeed. Don’t remember how mine was different.
