I am using the cloud service Jottacloud as my backup service. Some of the files I keep in iCloud I backup there instead of an external harddrive.
I am thinking that it might be handy in some cases to copy files/folders from Jottacloud to EagleFiler. Or from my iCloud Folder to EF with Hazel. So the db in Eaglefiler is automatically updated with new files without me having to manually copy them over.
is that possible?
My (overthought) structure right now:
Important files ->Folder in iCloud
Important files (same) → db in Eaglefiler
Folder in iCloud ->Backup in Jottacloud
Reason for this maybe over the top structure is:
I use Eaglefiler since it is easier to find the files I am looking for than to search with Spotlight or Alfred.
I use Jottacloud for backup of almost everything on my iCloud and local Mac.
I keep the folder in iCloud instead of only in EF since I just feel safer to have the original files in iCloud so I can access them easily.
So the thing I could have use for is a way to automatically update the db in Eaglefiler when I add a file in the folder on iCloud (where I keep the original files). Is that possible, and if so- is Hazel a good tool for that?
