After upgrading to Sequoia (15.5) EagleFiler (1.9.16) only imports the topmost email of my selection, both using F1 and drag and drop, both Apple Mail and Outlook.
There are no error logs, no nothing, just silently ignoring the rest of the emails.
I will try to check on a second machine using Sonoma, but last time I used it worked fine.
Thanks.
Recent versions of macOS (including Sonoma) have an issue with Apple Mail where drag and drop doesn’t send EagleFiler all of the e-mails, just the first one.
But there should be no such issue with importing via the capture key. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone report something like that.
You can click here to enable some extra debug logging for captures. If the problem still occurs, please take a screenshot right before you try to capture. And then save a diagnostic report afterwards and send them to eaglefiler@c-command.com so that we can investigate.
You are right! I just noticed that F1 creates a new “inbox” or “all mail” icon, that is why the records count does not increase.
I was really used to drag and drop, and assumed emails would go into as separate emails when capturing.
Thanks for this prompt answer!
Yes, bulk mail captures create a mailbox file. You can see the individual messages in Records by choosing View ‣ Show ‣ Messages in Records Source.
If you prefer to store the messages as separate files, you can drag them out of the mailbox into a folder.
