Mail puts messages in junk mail

Hey,

For the past few days, Mail has been putting messages in junk mail even though I disabled this feature in Mail settings?

A problem on Apple’s side?

It could be a server filter doing that. Please see this page.

After checking, there is no filtering at the server level. Something must have happened in my SpamSieve settings even though I hadn’t touched them!

How do you know? Nearly 100% of mail providers do server filtering, even if (like Apple’s iCloud) they don’t expose a setting for it.

The page that I linked explains how you can tell whether or not it was SpamSieve that moved the messages. If it did, the Log window will say why it predicted the messages to be spam.

  • -I asked my email manager (personal domain)

    -Emails placed in the junk folder are color-coded by SpamSieve.

I checked my settings and now everything seems to be working as it did before!

Did you train them as good? What does the log show about why SpamSieve thought they were spam?

What did you change? None of the settings in your screenshot would affect which messages are moved to Junk.
