I see there is a nifty script to allow Apple Mail to work with SpamSieve.

Is there a way to use a similar script that will allow Mailmate/SpamSieve to work with Sanebox without having Apple Mail involved?

I think I found my own solution (RTFM!)…

Section 3.4 > Filtering Other Mailboxes looks like it will do the trick.

Yes, MailMate has built-in support for doing this using a smart mailbox. You don’t need an extra script.
