Messages in Japanese how to define them as spam

Hi,

I get spam messages is Japanese (which I do not speak), but I cannot convince SpamSieve that they are spam?
Is there a way to define messages in a foreign language as spam?

Thanks
Michele

It should rapidly learn that all Japanese words are spammy, so if you are still getting these spams it may be because of a setup problem. The first step is to see whether the problem is that SpamSieve thought those messages were good or whether for some reason it didn’t look at them. Please see this page.

I cannot find any problem based on the troubleshooting steps.
One thing is that the messages in Japanese are NOT in the log
Does that suggest anything? It arrived at 11:39

Thanks
Michele

Yes, that suggests that either the message was marked as read before it got to your Mac or that there’s a setup problem so that SpamSieve didn’t look at it. Which mail program are you using, and which folder did the message arrive in?

Apple Mail, main Inbox

Thanks
Michele

OK, then the relevant instructions for checking the setup are here, and if it’s already working for other messages I suggest focusing on steps 5 and 6.
