Missing spam-check for an account?

Hello,
I see that SpamSieve is not checking for a specific mail account:

  • all mails (POP3, MacOS Mail) from this account go to a folder (ruled by a filter)
  • when “Learning as spam” the specific mails are moved to the Spam folder (but not recognised when very similar ones arrive there again). but here I see “Local folder” (see picture) but not anymore the original account.
  • I check mails also with iOS (but here IMAP).
  • I also received spam mails for other accounts (with the same workflow; iOS and MacOS), but these are recognised as spam on my Mac).
  • But now, just found out, I am confused: I got these two mails for two mail accounts (same domain, same time). iOS I see these for account XY, but not at all on MacOS. On MacOS I see that the same looking mails were moved to the specific mail folder (by a rule, with the adding “Local Folder”).
  • I am sorry, it sounds very confusing … But maybe it is just because of IMAP and POP3.

I remember that I had a look somewhere in the settings/corpus … and I could see that this account was not activated (?), so I activated it. But no changes. I tried to find this settings but … I can not find it anymore.

Greetings,
Claus

Small update:
I made some “research” and to be more clear:

  • I received very similar spam mails on two different mail accounts.
  • SpamSieve filters one mail (account X1) and moves it to spam.
  • SpamSieve does not filter the other mail (account X2), stays in a specific folder (not Inbox, but moved to a different folder by a rule)
  • when choosing this spam mail and click on “Learning as spam”, the mail is moved to the defined spam folder but marked with “Spam - Lokal” (local) and not the original mail account (like you see for the other mail).

Here you see both mails, after moving to the trash:

If you are using POP3, the messages do not sync between Mac and iOS. If the Mac moves the messages to a different mailbox it will not correspondingly move on your iPhone.

You can go to Filter spam messages in other mailboxes to tell SpamSieve which non-inbox mailboxes you want it to filter.
