Other uses for SaneBox script

Hi Michael,

I decided not to stay with SaneBox as it was very expensive for what it offered. Having said that, is there any reason why the SaneBox script couldn’t be used without it? I still have a list of folders so could I just edit the script to reflect that. Do you think that is feasible? The account I will monitor is a FastMail account where there are some rules at the server end to filter some addresses.

I have tested it and it does check my other folders. The slight problem I have is that the spam it finds are moved to the Junk Folder on Fastmail. When I go the web edition of Fastmail, it has designated the message as Spam - even though I do not have Spam filters switched on for this account whatsoever. It was disabled as per yhe instructions for Fastmail.

I’ve included my spam setup for Fastmail.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Yes, you can use the script with any server mailboxes.

I guess I don’t understand why this is undesirable, but you can set a different pSpamMailboxName in the script if you want. You can also adjust pChangeJunkStatus.
