Pre-trial Question

Does SpamSieve track or work with IP addresses in headers? My address is with a competent Spamemer - My ISP uses Spaminator and that is useless against this one Spammer. I have determined they use a specific Host and groups of IPs at that host. This has allowed me to successfully catch the stuff by blocking IPs. For example I might block all email with any header containing 69.175.70. – because I get SPAM form 69.175.70.102, 69.175.70.96, 69.175.70.108, etc.

Yes.

If you like, you can create SpamSieve blocklist rules using the Received header to block certain IP groups. However, I think you’ll find that SpamSieve automatically learns how to identify the spam messages so that this level of manual control is not necessary.
