I want to remove all tags when i drag a record onto a smart folder. How do i do this?
If i list out all the tags in the field, i find that they disappear(!) plus this then needs to be manually maintained

I’ve not seen tags disappear from the field on their own. If this keeps happening, could you explain more specifically which steps you are following that trigger this behavior?
Currently, the way I’d recommend doing this is adding all the tags to the smart folder action. You can do this by opening the Tags inspector, choosing Select All, then Copy, then pasting into the smart folder field. I’ll look into the possibility of adding a special action that removes all the tags so that this maintenance isn’t necessary if you add or rename tags.
