Script to extract attachments from message and add to library?

Is there a script or other simple way to extract attachments from email messages and import them into an Eaglefiler library?

  1. Sometimes I don’t want to import the entire message (from Mailmate), I just want the attachments.
  2. Once a message is in Eaglefiler, it would be nice to easily extracting attachments without roundtripping out to Mail and reimporting just the attachments.

I don’t know whether MailMate has a downloadable command for extracting the attachments, but if you can find one you could attach it to a rule action and tell it to save the files to the To Import folder for your EagleFiler library. There’s some discussion here about doing this sort of thing with Apple Mail.
