Spam being moved back to inbox

Hi,

I have messages that Spamsieve has categorised as spam appearing back to my inbox. I assume SS is doing this. Within a few minutes, they are removed from my inbox. Some of that spam comes back several times. The spam messages are khaki coloured, some marked as read, most not.

Apple mail. OS 15.6.1 but this was happening with earlier OS versions.

This might have been covered earlier in this forum but I cannot find the relevant messages.

This is disruptive, and I would like to prevent it happening. Any help appreciated. — James

Unless you have installed the extra rescue script in Apple Mail, SpamSieve does not move messages back to the inbox.

Do you have SpamSieve set to mark spam messages as read?

Please check SpamSieve’s Log window. Does it say that it’s predicting these messages to be spam or good or not at all?

Hi Michael, thanks for taking the time to respond. I took some screenshots which should answer your question. My settings are identical to yours. As I write, the one from Flickr and NYT cooking are khaki and in my inbox. Other spam appeared there a few mintes back but then Spamsive moved them back to the spam folder.

It seems like SpamSieve is correctly identifying the messages as spam (multiple times even) and telling Mail to move them to Junk but that they are not sticking there. Please see this page for some suggestions.
