Spam Score Usage

If the spam score is set to 99, does that mean SS will only filter emails from senders trained as spam and not apply the filtering algorithm? Seems like the obvious answer is yes, but just wanted to confirm.

What is the recommended spam score setting?

Thanks,
Tim

Which setting are you referring to? SpamSieve assigns the score when it analyzes a message, based on which filters you have enabled.

The selectable score for “Move to the Trash if the spam score is at least…” in settings->apple mail->filtering.

The Move it to the Trash if the spam score is at least setting does not affect the filtering algorithm or what score a message will get. Rather, it determines—based on the score—what SpamSieve will do with spam messages. If you uncheck the box, they will all be moved to the Junk mailbox. If you check the box, some of them will be moved to Trash instead.
