Spam Sieve vs Airmail

What does Spam Sieve do that Airmail doesn’t? In Airmail, I can mark emails as spam, I can block them, etc. So, do I really need Spam Sieve?

As far as I know, Airmail doesn’t have a spam filter. Marking a message as spam in Airmail just moves that message to the Spam folder, but future messages will continue to come into your inbox.

Whereas, SpamSieve will immediately block future messages from that sender and also learn to identify future messages with similar content.

If you are seeing messages automatically go to the Spam folder in Airmail without SpamSieve installed, that’s likely because of a server junk filter. It’s better to use SpamSieve instead of or in addition to the server filter because it’s more accurate.
