Hi,
I am having problems as SpamSieve (with AppleMail 16) doesn’t collect messages which pose as from a mailing list any more.
I have trained them all but it doesn’t seem to work any more.
SpamSieve DOES find other genuine spam so the system is set up right.
Any sugggestions?
There’s information here about how you can make sure the setup is correct. If you can’t figure it out, please go to the Log window, flag the messages you’re referring to, and send in a diagnostic report so that we can investigate.
Hi Michael,
first of all, in MailMaven (beta) these SPAM messages are caught!
I did use the option to flag unread messages if considered good and noticed that theses messages were trained (Auto) as good, even though I manually trained similar messages in the past as SPAM. No change in setup afaik besides the option mentioned before. Sent in a diagnostic report.
Thanks for your help
Cheers R.
Thanks for this information. Your later e-mail says that the messages aren’t caught in MailMaven, either. In other words, the mail client does not seem to be a factor.
It is normal for messages that SpamSieve thought to be good to be auto-trained as good. The sooner you can correct the mistake after this, the better.
It looks to me like part of the issue might be uncorrected mistakes. Could you check the Good Messages section of the Corpus window and make sure that all the messages there are actually good? If not, you can train them as spam from the Corpus window.
Hallo,
thanks for your support!
Going over the corpus and manually correcting things seems to have solved the issue. Sorry. I have been using SpamSieve without the necessity like ages and completely forgot about it because after the initial training things just worked.
Very happy customer
Cheers, Rolf
