Here’s a new beta version of SpamSieve. The changes are:
- Tried to work around a bug in macOS Tahoe 26, affecting some POP accounts in Apple Mail, that could cause hangs or prevent messages from moving to the Junk mailbox.
- Worked around a change in macOS 26 where it would keep trying to re-add the SpamSieve icon to the menu bar even if you’d turned the Show menu bar icon feature off.
- Fixed a bug where the Dock icon didn’t adapt to different themes on macOS 26.
- Worked around a macOS 26 bug that could cause a crash at launch.
- Fixed a bug where Apple Mail remote training would log (harmless) errors for POP accounts.
- The Mail extension will now retry if it gets a timeout error communicating with SpamSieve.
- The colors for the menu bar icon when training and filtering now use the same colors as SpamSieve’s Dock icon and Apple Mail.
- Improved the Mail extension’s error reporting.
- SpamSieve is better at finding the Apple Mail inbox when running in Spanish.
- Improved the layout of the Software Update… sheet on macOS Tahoe 26.
- Worked around a Help Viewer bug on macOS 14.
- The diagnostic report shows additional information about fragmentation of SpamSieve’s databases and about the Apple Mail account types and how the Junk mailbox is configured.
- Updated to Xcode 26.0.1.
- Updated the Swedish localization.
