Here’s a new beta version of SpamSieve. The changes are:
- Made various changes to improve SpamSieve’s filtering accuracy.
- When searching in the Corpus or Log window, you can now choose the search scope. This enables faster and more targeted searching. Additionally, you can now search by Raw Message Source and Words, which were not possible before. These can be especially useful in finding messages that were not correctly trained—you can then fix them to improve SpamSieve’s filtering accuracy. The new Searching section of the manual explains the different ways of searching and when they might be useful. Each search field now has a Search Syntax Reference menu item to quickly open this section of the help.
- Optimized’s SpamSieve’s message processing speed.
- Improved SpamSieve’s recognition of headers from server spam filters.
- Improved the following sections of the manual:
- Searching by message identifier now works when there’s extraneous whitespace.
- Improved the error reporting for Apple Mail remote training.
- Added a workaround for App Nap pausing filtering.
- Fixed a crash that could occur during a software update.
- Fixed a bug that could cause SpamSieve to show its Settings window when it was being launched by Apple Mail or Outlook.
- Fixed some crashes that could be caused by regex processing with invalid UTF-8.
- Fixed a bug where recent searches were not shown before the first search.
- We need help updating SpamSieve’s Japanese localization. If you’re interested, please contact spamsieve@c-command.com.
