SpamSieve/Corpus.spamsieve-corpus/Words.spamsieve-words/V1/Words.sqlite3 stopping TimeMachine

Hi,

I am actually using MacOS 26.2 and the latest version of SpamSieve.. TimeMachine does not complete the backup with the following mistake : “Impossible de sauvegarder « /Users/guillaumedaudin/Library/Application Support/SpamSieve/Corpus.spamsieve-corpus/Words.spamsieve-words/V1/Words.sqlite3 ».

Is there a known issue with this file ? Should I just delete it ?

Thanks !

No.

No, this is a very important file for SpamSieve. You don’t want to delete it, and it should be backed up, if possible. Without more information from Time Machine, it’s hard to know what the problem is. Maybe the source drive is damaged so that Time Machine can’t read every part of the file. Maybe there’s a problem with the destination drive.

You could temporarily exclude the folder Corpus.spamsieve-corpus folder from Time Machine so that the rest of your backup can complete.

I suggest that you use Finder to make a copy of the file on your desktop and see if Time Machine is able to back up that.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer ! I did that.

It appears to have been only a temporary issue, as my backups are now running normally, even though they had been failing from 9 p.m. yesterday until 7 a.m.

Cheers,

Guillaume
