Hey there. I have another mail extension that does some special things for me and I noticed that emails processed by this extension, places a little puzzle piece on the Mail items in the Mail list. Is it possible for SpamSieve to do this also?
The SpamSieve Mail extension does do that. It’s not optional.
However, some messages may not have this icon because there’s a bug in Apple Mail where it sometimes doesn’t send messages to the extension. When that happens, SpamSieve uses another method of accessing the new messages to ensure that they’re filtered. As these messages were not touched by the extension, they don’t get the icon.
Also, Mail extensions only get access to new messages in your inbox. So if you have SpamSieve set to filter messages in other mailboxes those will never get the icon.
