Spamsieve on a Mac running Mojave

Basic question please I’ve installed Spamsieve created a Spam folder and rule. Been busily training good and bad but nothing seems to be happening. Any comments gratefully received.

Is the SpamSieve rule at the top of the list? Have you tried testing it as described here? If you still can’t get its to work, please use the Save Diagnostic Report command in the Help menu and send me the report file, as described here.

Hi Mike

Is this OK?

Best Regards

Paul Lucas

Thanks for sending the report. There are two issues:

  • Your mailbox needs to be renamed from SPAM to Spam.

  • Your SpamSieve rule in Mail needs to look like the picture below, i.e. say Every Message instead of From:

This is the latest. Hopefully Spam folder set up correctly.
Spam is going into junk.

It looks like the rule is set up properly and that it is indeed moving messages to the Spam mailbox.

Most likely, you have a server junk filter that’s moving some spam messages to the Junk mailbox before they get to your Mac.
