SS MessageLog

I am seeking to understand the role of the MessageLog in SpamSieve’s ~/Library/Application Support folder in SS’s operation. My MessageLog folder contains over 14,000 items consuming 1.5 GB of solid state drive space on my MacBook Pro Retina laptop (SS 2.97, OS 10.8.3, Apple Mail) and grows daily. It appears to have virtually every good message going back to Dec 2011. Is the file automatically trimmed or size limited in some fashion or will it just continue to grow & consume disk space as long as I use SpamSieve?

Regards,
Rick

SpamSieve only uses this folder if you’ve enabled debug logging to try to track down a problem. Otherwise, you can delete the folder without affecting SpamSieve’s normal operation, and you can click here to turn off the debug logging.

Ah. Thanks Michael,

LogMessages must have been left turned on from a debug session we did back in December.

Off & gone now.

Rick
