I am trying to switch from the App Store version of Eaglefiler to the direct version. I cannot get the direct sale version to recognize my App Store purchase. When I attempt it, it only finds DropDMG and SpamSieve, which I purchased directly. I am not sure which email address I used when I purchased from the App Store, because I changed this at one point, but I tried both email addresses. Please help. Thanks!
The serial number lookup will only find purchase that you made directly from us. However, if you purchase from the Mac App Store, the direct version app will automatically recognize your receipt from Apple (if you had launched the Mac App Store version that Mac).
Thank you. I am trying to put it on a new Mac, so I haven’t launched the App Store version on this Mac. So if I do, then I should be able to have the direct version recognize the Apple receipt, and then I can delete the app store version, and the direct version should still work?
I downloaded the App Store version, and then reinstalled the direct version, to “replace” the version already there, and it now says Mac App Store under serial name, and does allow checking for updates, which the App Store version doesn’t there, so I think I have succeeded. Thank you.
