"There is no record of a server junk filter evaluating this message"

I recently started using SpamSieve to augment a server junk filter, since there are some stubborn messages I can’t get to match, and the filter I’m using is unsupported/unmaintained, yet still works remarkably well and hasn’t incorrectly tagged anything as junk in years.

In SpamSieve’s log I see for all messages: “Server Filter: There is no record of a server junk filter evaluating this message”.

A couple questions about this:

  • Would it be helpful for me to make SpamSieve aware of the server junk filter?
  • If so, how (header?) do I do this? I can’t find anything in the help about how to do it.

It doesn’t matter for SpamSieve’s filtering, just for your own information when viewing the log or if (in a future version) we add statistics for the accuracy of the server junk filter.

You could add a header that says either X-Spam-Status: Yes or X-Spam-Status: No.
