Using Apple Mail - Discard Spam script

I am interested in using the Apple Mail - Discard Spam script, but am unsure of how to use it. After installing it, need I manually initiate it when I want it to run, or does it automatically run on some predetermined schedule?

If I manually run it, how do I do that? Is there an icon (where) or such to click?

Please see “Running the Script” at the bottom of the page. You can set up a menu command for running it.
