I have been trying Devonthink, but it doesn’t really add anything to EagleFiler and is much slower and more awkward to use—at least for what I am looking for.
It does have more views than EF. One that has been discussed on the forum is widescreen, where the document is on the right. I found it very useful.
Another one that was surprisingly useful is a thumbnail view like the finder’s where a folder will display as thumbnails. Therefore, you can use it to compare images. I know how to do that with Quicklook, but it was much, much better to be able to do it naturally within the programme. It was faster, fewer clicks and no need to keep the original selection. It made this kind of view practical.
