Why does Statistics window say 0 message?

I’ve been using this with Apple Mail (OS X High Sierra) for a while now, and when I check the SpamSieve Statistics window, it says 0 good messages, 0 spam messages, and 0 spam messages per day. What am I missing - shouldn’t it be filtering some? Screenshot attached.

It sounds like either the plug-in is not installed or the Apple Mail rule is not set up. Please see this page.

thanks, it looks like the rule wasn’t checked to be active, for some reason.
